What’s a helmet?
It’s a big question.
The helmet industry has been in a slump for a while.
After years of a steady increase in demand, the industry saw its share of the market drop by 5.4 percent last year.
That was followed by a 7.3 percent decline in 2014.
Some industry experts blame the industry’s high prices for the downturn.
A study released by the Institute of Transportation Engineers found that $100 helmets cost $70 to manufacture and $15 to sell.
The company said that it’s difficult to predict how long the drop will last, but it’s certainly not going to stop anytime soon.
