CNET Magazine is reporting that the biggest ticket sale ever for an original “Space Jam” movie will be set in 2020, surpassing last year’s record set by “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” for the biggest movie ticket-sales ever.
The biggest sale for an “Original Space Jam” film has been set for October 2018, when the “Space Jams” hit theaters for the first time.
It was announced last month that the film had been selected to have its first trailer screened at Comic-Con.
The “SpaceJams” were first announced in January 2017 and set the record for the largest movie ticket sales for a new franchise movie.
The first “SpaceJam” movie was set to debut in 2019, but it was pushed back until 2021 to avoid the same fate that wasfalling the “Star Trek” franchise.
The “StarCraft” franchise was the first original film to get a second “Spacejam” movie, released in 2021, as well.
